SMARTer Kids Foundation announces grants for eInstruction products

Foundation now offers funding for innovative classroom response tools

CALGARY, Alberta --- March 11, 2005 --- The SMARTer Kids™ Foundation of Canada announces a SMARTer Kids Grant for eInstruction™ products. eInstruction's Classroom Performance System is an easy-to-use response, or voting, system that tabulates immediate feedback from every student and encourages participation. Now available to all accredited, not-for-profit education institutions, museums, libraries and home schools in the United States and Canada, these grants are worth 15-20 percent of the suggested list price of select eInstruction products.

SMARTer Kids Grants for eInstruction products are available for two products - the Classroom Performance System (CPS) and CPSrf, the radio-frequency CPS. Grants are awarded on the purchase of five eInstruction products and subsequent multiples thereof. There is no limit to the number of qualifying products that may be included in the grant to a single educational institution or school district. In addition, educators who receive grants through the SMARTer Kids Foundation are eligible to apply for matching grants from other institutions. For information on qualifying eInstruction products visit www.eInstruction.com.

"Increasing budget constraints on schools are challenging educators to find innovative solutions when purchasing classroom technology tools that promote student learning," says Nancy Knowlton, executive director of the SMARTer Kids Foundation. "With the new SMARTer Kids Grant for eInstruction products, the Foundation continues to provide educators with flexible solutions for equipping their classrooms with the best in technology products."
