Peace

I have been very busy having adventures with the children in Mrs. Head's class. I have been to swimming lessons and a soccer game. I like playing with all the little brothers and sisters although I was a bit worried when I spent a few hours in a suitcase. It is lots of fun to ride back and forth to school in my special red backpack and all the children are writing about me which makes me happy.

Last weekend I went downtown and saw the Orca that the students from Frank Hobbs School decorated last June. Most of the children in my class put their handprints on the Orca called Wave of Hope when they were in the Kindergarten class last year. You can find this Orca by going to http://www.orcasinthecity.com/ and clicking on Victoria and going down to Wave of Hope in the whale gallery to see what the children did.

I have had a busy week at school learning about safety drills. We had to duck and cover for our earthquake drill and then we had a fire drill to practice walking outside without talking. It was very hard not to cover my ears because the fire alarm was so loud. It is Fire Prevention Week so the children are learning about fire safety.

Next week is another busy week at the school . It is picture day on Tuesday and I wonder if the photographer will take my picture. On Wednesday it is iWalk day and my class is wondering if any of the other schools I'll be visiting participate in iWalk. My favourite day next week is Friday because the children will be running in the Turkey Trot and someone in our class might win a turkey for Thanksgiving. In Canada Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October. Our class is going to make vegetable soup for Thanksgiving and I can hardly wait.

I'll be on my way to Oklahoma in less than two weeks. See you soon.
