Interested teachers apply online for participation in the ImagiNations program.
August 2007
The ImagiNations program manager selects 200 applicants for participation. Applicants
will then be placed into 40 groups of 5.
September 2007– May 2008
Each teddy bear and travel kit will spend approximately 1 month at each school
before being sent to the next destination.

A program binder including program information, shipping instructions,
a journal entry section and a photo album |

Any additional items selected by the Foundation to accompany the teddy
bear |

Items collected from other schools

| Teachers and students are expected to add information and
memorabilia to the travel kit and ship it to the next destination. These
items must include the following: |

Journal entries
Students are expected to write a minimum of 10 entries in the journal while
the teddy bear is at their school. These journal entries may express what
the teddy bear is learning, the adventures the teddy bear has experienced
during his visit and the interesting people he has met along the way. |

Two items relating to culture and geographic location
Items may include local recipes, postcards or maps. |

Two local souvenirs
Items may include pens, flags, key rings or magnets. |

Photographs
Teachers are required to add a maximum of 12 photographs depicting the teddy
bear’s adventures. These will be placed in the photo album provided
in the travel kit. Teachers are also required to submit a maximum of 12
photos of the teddy bear, along with appropriate captions, to the ImagiNations
manager for posting on the website. Photos for the website must be digital
and must be sent during, or immediately following, the teddy bear’s
visit. Participating teachers are required to have access to a digital camera. |
September 2007– May 2008
Schools make contact with each other and share information about the bear’s
adventures.
Teachers are encouraged to remain in contact with the other schools in their
group and continue building international relationships.
