and their teachers from across North America to Calgary, Alberta, for an exciting
week of interpretive tours, activities and excursions. This visit celebrated
the students’ two-year participation in the Connections program with an
opportunity to meet one another face to face.
During their week in Calgary, the students and teachers visited the following
attractions: the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, the Banff Gondola, Banff Hot
Springs, the Calgary Zoo, Ranchlands Elementary, The Calgary Police Canine Unit,
the Royal Tyrrell Museum and Heritage Park.
The students and teachers stayed at camp, where they engaged in a variety of
activities aimed at building friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
