What are your beliefs
about teaching?
"I believe that students can become better, productive citizens of
the community by turning service into learning."
How are your beliefs
incorporated in your teaching style?
"By emphasizing service, it enables students to apply academic disciplines
to practical everyday problems."
What is your greatest
teaching accomplishment?
"My greatest teaching accomplishment was being selected as Guam's
Teacher Of the Year for 2001 and thereby becoming a supportive leader
to my colleagues and students."
What's the most
critical issue facing educators today and what do you think can be done
to resolve this issue?
"The most critical issue facing educators today is the teachers'
and students' lack of access to computer technology. Technology enhances
both teaching skills for instructors and learning skills for students.
One way to solve the accessibility issue would be to properly direct educational
funding to schools which, in turn, would impact student learning in the
classroom."
Inspirational thought:
"Become actively involved in the school and community. Also, strive
to improve your teaching skills to make student learning fun and interesting."
