What are your beliefs
about teaching?
"I think students learn best when they can discover and construct
meaning to their world and concepts presented to them. Teachers are the
key to helping children unlock the secrets around them."
How are your beliefs
incorporated in your teaching style?
"My teaching uses many different methods. Children are using multi-sensory
experiences and a lot of movement to aid in their discovery."
What is your greatest
teaching accomplishment?
"My greatest accomplishment as a teacher was receiving the New Hampshire
Teacher of the Year Award because all of my accomplishments are recognized
in this one award."
What's the most
critical issue facing educators today and what do you think can be done
to resolve this issue?
"The most critical issue facing educators today is finding ways to
attract and retain good teachers. Many teachers leave the field because
of low salaries, lack of support and pressures. Teachers need to be shown
encouragement and support from administrators, boards and the community."
Inspirational thought:
"Don't lose the vision you had to work with children. They need good
teachers to reach their potential."
