The State Teachers of the Year spent Tuesday morning, April 24, 2001, in the Washington offices of SMART Technologies. The SMARTer Kids Foundation provides a technology package to each of the Teachers of the Year (provided that their state program has entered in a participation agreement with the Foundation). The package consists of:
	SMART Board and Floor Stand
	NEC VT lightweight projector
	AlphaSmart 3000 computer companion

Nancy Knowlton, Executive Director of the SMARTer Kids Foundation, gave the teachers a brief introduction and description of the Foundation's programs and initiatives.
