John Deutsch, Vice President North American Sales , SMART Technologies talks about the SMARTer Kids Foundation

All of the National Nominees were invited to a technology training session to learn about the products they had received as part of their Teaching Excellence Award. The training began with Ron Gillies and Kathy Hussar of NEC Solutions America, Visual Systems Division presenting the NEC VT 45 projector. Dave Lowman of AlphaSmart, Inc. followed with an overview of the AlphaSmart 3000 portable keyboard. Training continued with a feature demonstration of the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and SMART Ideas concept-mapping software courtesy of SMART Technologies. After a lesson on the SMART Board interactive whiteboard's features and functions, the teachers broke off into groups to do some hands-on activities. Congratulations to all of the 2003 Teachers.
