Conference Sessions (January 23–24, 2004)

Days two and three of the conference were hosted by Jon Quam, director of the National Teacher of the Year program, and featured special guest speakers:
	Karen Proctor, vice president for community affairs, Scholastic Inc.
	Joyce Graham, director of professional development, Scholastic Inc.
	Kat Meier, acting director of education, U.S. Space and Rocket Center
	Barbara Hester, president, and Pat Rowe, executive director, of the National State Teachers of the Year Association
	Josh Benton, education reporter, Dallas Morning News
	Jane Walters, educator
	Mary Beth Blegen, 1996 National Teacher of the Year

During these sessions, teachers and program coordinators spent time sharing issues and ideas specific to their programs and communities.
