Technology Training Day (January 22, 2004)
On the first day of the conference, teachers were divided into two groups: the
Einsteins and the Edisons. Each group spent the day learning about the products
they received as part of their Teaching Excellence Award. Each session included
expert instruction and provided as much hands-on product training as time permitted.
After the intense training day, teachers were treated to a relaxing dinner
and self-guided tour of The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza (the site, formerly
the Texas School Book Depository [1963], is where a sniper’s nest and
rifle were found following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy).
