My teaching philosophy
Every student needs an arts education, now more than ever. Music is a powerful tool for self-expression and it is a joy to be able to teach my passion.

My philosophy in action
I believe each child that enters my classroom has the potential to become a virtuoso on their chosen instrument. I believe it is my job to create a learning environment that allows them to grow as a musician.

My greatest teaching accomplishment
My greatest accomplishment is establishing the strong string orchestra program here at Seoul American.

The most critical issue facing educators today
Balancing the "No child left behind" push and its emphasis on standardized testing with the continued support of arts in the schools.

Ways to resolve this issue
Show that standards based arts education is as important as math and science.

One thought to inspire teachers to succeed
Teach to the top, and more students will get there.

One lesson every student should learn
Every student is gifted with a talent within him or her.
