Gala Reception

On April 20, 2005, an exciting day for the 2005 State Teachers of the Year and 2005 National Teacher of the Year was brought to a fitting close during a formal reception and gala held at the Galleria at Lafayette Center in Washington, DC.

Teachers of the Year were celebrated as they reveled in the day’s activities at the White House. Wined and dined in the company of fine music and fine people, it was an evening worthy of remembrance.

Speaking at the event were several notable individuals whose leadership has earned them respect and appreciation as ambassadors to education in America.
