This yearbook is a tribute to the 2006 U.S. State Teachers of the Year. It chronicles the major events of the teachers as they travel the exciting journey of a National Teacher of the Year (NTOY) nominee.

Through the SMARTer Kids Foundation Teaching Excellence Award program, State Teachers of the Year were presented with a TEA Technology Classroom. In addition, teachers attended product training sessions held in their honor.

Visit each of the sections below to learn who the teachers are, what makes them great spokespeople for the teaching profession, and what activities they participated in as national teacher of the year nominees.
