On April 26, 2007, an exciting day was brought to a fitting close during a formal reception and gala held at the Galleria at Lafayette Center in Washington DC, which honored the 2007 State and National Teachers of the Year.

The teachers were celebrated as they reveled in the day’s activities at the White House. Enjoying the company of fine music and fine people, the teachers were wined and dined, topping off their visit to Washington with an evening worthy of remembrance.

Speaking at the event were several notable individuals whose leadership has earned them respect and appreciation as ambassadors to education in America.
